Lara provides grant writing services to MAP’s clients. She combines her business background and more than a decade of grant writing experience to create compelling grants that describe the impact of a donor’s investment. She is proud of the millions of dollars she has helped clients secure in grant funding but is even prouder of how many lives and communities have benefited from the grant awards. Her experience in working with nonprofits combined with her expertise in prospect research and grant proposal development guides nonprofits in building and growing their grant program.
Before joining the MAP team, she was a staff grant writer for a faith-based social service nonprofit in North Texas. There she was dedicated to creating and cultivating connections with area grantors that shared common goals with the nonprofit.
Lara was born in the Philippines and grew up in Northern California and Southeast Texas. She and her husband reside in Denton, Texas, with their two young daughters. She enjoys being an active member of her church and raising her family in a vibrant college town. When they aren’t working or at school, the family may be found spending time outdoors, reading good books, or having a dance party in the living room.
