Karen Rose is a highly skilled fundraising professional with nearly 17 years of experience helping a variety of nonprofit organizations achieve their goals and aspirations. She has worked with schools, museums, libraries, churches, and social service organizations – guiding dozens of capital campaigns across the country. She brings energy, insights, and creative solutions to every project. Her greatest strength is her ability to teach others about the true joy of fundraising. She carefully guides her clients out of their comfort zones, where real growth happens and goals are achieved.
Prior to her tenure with MAP, Karen specialized in fundraising for public libraries. In that role, Karen helped plan and manage numerous library capital campaigns. She worked closely with these public institutions to develop a new culture of fundraising through in-depth capacity assessments, board development and training, strategic planning, and fundraising best practices. In addition to her consulting experience, Karen also served as Director of Advancement for an institution of higher education where she created new structures, procedures, and programs to increase alumni engagement and major giving.
Karen lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband and younger son. Her eldest son is attending college in Dallas, Texas. Karen is a fitness instructor and enjoys outdoor activities and travel.
