A seasoned nonprofit fundraising consultant, Sara Wise has dedicated her career to the nonprofit sector, with nearly two decades serving organizations in education, social services, cultural, and fine arts.
Sara’s professional experience includes fundraising at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Virginia, the Episcopal School of Dallas, American Red Cross Greater Houston Chapter, and the Houston Zoo. Since becoming a consultant, Sara has worked with dozens of nonprofits to execute development strategy, events, board retreats, capital campaigns, and more. Sara is thrilled to work with nonprofits of all sizes to assist with the implementation of best practices and strong infrastructure for future success.
Beyond her work, Sara serves the community through various volunteer leadership through the Salvation Army, Texas Executive Women, the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, and Strawbridge United Methodist Church. In 2018, Sara was named one of ten Women on the Move for the Texas Executive Women organization. She most recently served as president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Houston Chapter.
A graduate of Texas Christian University, Sara is married to the Honorable Ken Wise, a justice on the 14th Court of Appeals and host of the wildly popular Wise About Texas history podcast. She is also the proud mother to two children, Jackson and Sarah Jane.
